In this post we'll review the training and preparation for the CWSP exam.
I took my CWSP in July 2021. The CWSP exam was one of my favorite in the curriculum. Not only were the actual key exchanges and methodologies covered in depth, but there was also notable coverage on tools and methods.
The big takeaways from the curriculum are the following:
Secure your environment using RSNA methods. The newer, the better.
If you cannot migrate away from WPA tech to WPA2-ENT yet, you need to lock those devices down!
Your wireless infrastructure is your largest and most accessible attack vector, you need to secure it.
Throughout the study materials the reader learns of different tools and methods used for exploiting networks. While these should not be employed by engineers on production networks, I would be remise if I were to say I didn't feel that in a lab environment they'd make great learning materials.
