Fresh off my win from the CWNA, I set my sights on the CWDP. I had some help again with this one as I had just taken the ENWLSD course through a vendor approved trainer the same week. Not only did this help my solidify my understanding, but it let me test my theory against a real-world expert.
During the private, instructor-led design course we were able to ask our instructor very detailed, case specific information for our own environment, as well general theory questions. While I can only speak for the Cisco-specific training I received, I will say it did a lot to prepare me for the CWDP exam. I would hope that the Aruba (and other vendor's) classes are similar in this aspect. (If I get the opportunity to pursue Aruba certification I will report back).
Fresh off my momentum with the CWNA I tested and passed the CWDP in about a month's worth of study. While I found the preparation for the CWNA grueling at times, the CWDP seemed to be almost fun in a way. This was by far the exam that I performed the best on and found the most enjoyable. I also think, that while it was a quick-win to get a second test knocked out in rapid succession, it likely was the wrong choice to pick for my second exam and I would do my testing in a different order next time.
I passed the CWDP 1/23/2021
